Location: Dufwin Theater, 519 17th Street, Oakland, CA (in the heart of Downtown)
About the show: The show is appropriately titled “Transitions: political, social and religious,” based on current events in recent headlines.
Join us on a Friday evening in downtown Oakland to view paintings and photos by Bay Area artists that draw on themes of political, social and religious events. The reception will continue on First Fridays, April 4 from 6-9pm and on Saturday April 6 from 1-4pm. The receptions are free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be served during the event.
The Dufwin Theater formerly known as the Roxie opened in the 1920s was a premier movie house from the 60s through the 80s when it closed. First run movies were shown until its closure. It is now an office building.
